Updates: LHAP Program, CDC Moratorium, and CARES Act

As you most likely know by now, the new COVID-19 Stimulus bill was passed and signed by President Trump. While we are still waiting to hear exactly how everything in it will effect the housing industry, we do know a few things:
In 2020, our office was able to process nearly 4,000 claims recover in excess of $6 million dollars in behalf of our clients through the LHAP program. For 2021, it appears that all states, including Utah, will be getting $200 million for rental assistance to help both landlords and tenants. The funds are to be used for rent payments including utilities, arrearages and other expenses related to housing.
