New Housing Assistance Portal

The new LHAP portal will be known as ERAP (Emergency Rental Assistance Program). Unfortunately, we still do not have an exact date it will open to landlords. The state is estimating sometime early March, but will not give an exact date.
We do know a few things about it at this point: If a tenant qualifies, the program can pay back rent (as far back as March 20, 2020) and can pay the current month, plus up to 2 additional future months, not to exceed 12 months of assistance. Under the new portal, the state promises to be able to process claims in a more timely manner, as they have hired several more employees to approve and process new claims.
